Islamic Jihad group pronounced martyrdom of one of its fighters during an Israeli raid in Jenin, vowing to escalate the resistance against the Israeli occupation.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Islamic Jihad said Ahmad Mohamamd Lutfi Massad, 18, was martyred while encountering an Israeli raid in Jenin and the nearby town of Qabatiya.
The group said Jenin Battalion, the local branch of its military wing, confronted the Israeli aggression and engaged in a clash with the occupation forces.
In addition to martyrdom of Massad, at least three other fighters were injured in the clash, Palestinian sources reported.
Israeli media reported that occupation forces raided Jenin in a bid to carry out some arrests and to pin a demolition order to the home of Raad Hazem, the hero killed three Israelis in Tel Aviv before being martyred near a Jaffa mosque earlier this month.
“The occupation has stepped up its aggression against our people by all means. It has been practicing terror before the eyes of this hypocrite world which is to blame for silence over Israeli crimes,” the Islamic Jihad Resistance movement said in the statement.
The group also vowed to escalate all forms of resistance against the Israeli occupation, stressing it will not abandon Al-Quds and entire Palestine.
