Fuel prices registered new hike in Lebanon as General Directorate of Oil in Lebanon issued on Tuesday a new table of prices.
The price of gasoline canister (95 and 98-octane) has increased by LBP 5,000, reaching LBP 475,000 and LBP 486,000.
The price of diesel canister rose by LBP 3,000 to 552,000, while that of Gas by LBP 10,000 to 329,000.
The Ukrainian conflict and its impact on the global oil prices have worsened Lebanon’s economic crisis, which has already pulled more than three-quarters of the country’s population into poverty, and devalued the Lebanese pound by about 90 percent against the US dollar since August 2019.
