Amid consecutive political crises plaguing the ruling authorities led by the government, Lebanon suffers from a serious and weird phenomenon, the horrible number of non-governmental organizations.
According to recent studies, there are more than 10,000 NGOs in Lebanon. One thousand organizations have been registered during the two latest years.
The harsh socioeconomic conditions as well as Beirut Port explosion led to the steady increase in the number of NGOs in Lebanon, according to Al-Manar report.
It is a record number that must be followed up by the competent authorities, the report added.
