The Military Investigative Judge, Fadi Sawwan, is preparing himself to release more culprits in Tayouneh massacre next week in response to pressures exerted by political and spiritual authorities, according to Al-Manar sources.
It is worth noting that, few days ago, Sawwan decided to follow an unclear path in the case of Tayouneh massacre, as he released eight “Lebanese Forces” culprits.
Al-Manar sources indicated that Sawwan decided to release the culprits, who participated logistically in the crime without being involved in the direct killing.
The sources wondered how a judge acquits culprits in facilitating and preparing a crime.
On October 14, 2021, seven martyrs and around 30 injured were reported during the armed attack carried out by the “Lebanese Forces” militiamen on peaceful protestors in Tayouneh area. The protesters were demonstrating against the politicized decisions of the judicial investigator into Beirut blast, Tarek Al-Bitar.
Meanwhile, the families of the Beirut Port blast martyrs announced that they will follow more legal procedures against the judicial investigator, Tarek Al-Bitar, after he failed to show an unbiased performance and answer all their questions.
On August 4, 2020, a massive blast rocked Beirut Port blast, killing around 195 citizens and injuring over 6000 of others. The explosion also caused much destruction in the capital and its suburbs.
