“Strong Lebanon” parliamentary bloc on Wednesday filed an appeal against the electoral law amendments before the Constitutional Council.
Member of the bloc, MP Alain Aoun, said that “Strong Lebanon” resorted to the Constitutional Council as the last haven in face of what he described as the political majority in the parliament.
Aoun added that the Constitutional Council would take a decision concerning the appeal within a month, noting that the bloc would respect the Council’s decision.
It is worth noting that the bloc has rejected the amendments pertaining mainly the date of the elections and the vote of the expatriates.
