After reaching consecutive failures in Lebanon, Palestine, Iran, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen, the Saudi policy has turned into the strategy of blackmailing the weak governments, especially those running a country with a wobbly economy.
Lebanon has been recently exposed to this blackmail policy as the Saudis followed a new diplomatic approach based on troubling the bilateral ties whenever any Lebanese politician makes certain remarks which do not suit KSA royalty.
The former former minister, Charbel Wehbe, highlighted during a TV interview the Saudi role in dispatching the terrorist groups into Lebanon and its outskirts; consequently, an immense political and media campaign targeted him till he submitted his resignation.
The Saudi ambassador to Beirut, Walid Al-Bukhari, set an open day at the embassy to receive the Lebanese figures apologizing for Wehbe’s remarks. Although the statements were true, the Saudi diplomatic mission blackmailed Lebanon and threatened to expel all the Lebanese expatriates working in KSA.
The current information minister, George Kordahi, had made certain remarks on the Saudi-led aggression against Yemen before he took office. Similarly, the Saudi diplomacy showed outrage and operated its media as well as political puppets to demand Kordahi resignation.
On the other hand, the coward Saudi royals did not dare even to comment on the series of insults the former POTUS Donald Trump made while addressing the Saudi King during his speeches.
