Russia is ready to help Lebanon cope with its Fuel and power crisis. However, will the concerned authorities in Lebanon reject the Russian offer again.
In an interview with Al-Manar TV, the economist Hasan Mokalled said that a Russian mega company will dispatch a delegation to Lebanon in order to explain the details of an offer to establish an oil refinery and provide the needed fuel to generate power on the basis of a clear timeline.
Dr. Mokalled added that the Russian company will accept the sovereign guarantee of the Lebanese state without, away from the International Monetary Fund program.
The Lebanese economist noted that the engagement of some political parties in the US-led axis in the region prevents them from approving the Russian offer which threaten the fuel cartel as well, warning against the attempts of the parties involved in the local corruption to drag the Russian companies into their quagmire in Lebanon.
It is worth noting that similar Iranian, Russian, and Chinese offers were rejected by some Lebanese parties for fear of the US sanctions. Will they reject the Russian offer again?
