The committee of the Beirut blast martyrs’ families announced that the accusations, that have been thrown against Hezbollah pertaining the explosion and the stored nitrate at the port, reflect a personal opinion, not an official stance.
It is worth noting that the accusations were thrown by Rima, the sister of one of the martyrs Amin Al-Zahed.
The committee stressed that it may never blame except those sentenced by the judicial authorities, rejecting any attempt to politicize the port case.
On August 4, 2020, a massive blast rocked Beirut Port blast, killing around 196 citizens and injuring over 6000 of others. The explosion also caused much destruction in the capital and its suburbs.
