Hezbollah issued on Friday a statement in which it mourned Iraq’s religious scholar, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Saeed Hakim, who had passed away on the same day after a long life devoted to elevate the status of the religious seminaries.
The statement stressed that Hezbollah believes this calamity is a grave loss for the Islamic World as Sayyed Hakim, during his life, assumed his responsibilities in supporting the right and confronting injustice represented by the defunct regime.
The late scholar also enriched the Islamic library with his literature and researches which will remain an asset for those seeking knowledge and integrity, according to the statement.
Finally Hezbollah offered condolences to Imam Mahdi (P), the religious scholars, the family as well as the pupils of Ayatollah Hakim, and all the Muslims, asking Holy God to resurrect him with his pure ancestors, grant patience to everyone, and that the religious seminaries keep preserved, thanks to the literature of the honorable deceased and all the great scholars.
It is worth noting that Sayyed Mohammad Saeed Al-Hakim passed away in the Holy City of Al-Najaf after a sudden heart attack.
