Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah announced that the first of several ships loaded with fuel oil would sail from Iran to Lebanon within hours, warning the US and Zionist entity against targeting it.
“Our first ship has completed all arrangements and will sail within hours from Iran to Lebanon with the blessing of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him),” Sayyed Nasrallah said in his historic speech Thursday marking the Tenth day of Muharram in Dahiyeh, stressing that “this ship will be followed by other ships, but we gave priority to diesel oil on the first ship because it is a top priority and is linked to people’s lives.”
Sayyed Nasrallah warned the US and Israelis that from the first moment the ship sails from Iran, we will consider it Lebanese territory. “God willing, this ship and others will arrive safely, we don’t want confrontation with anyone we are only after helping our people… We reject to be humiliated in any military, political or economic war, We refuse the humiliation of our people, let no one dare to challenge us.”
Hezbollah leader extended thanks and appreciation to Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei and the Iranian president for their permanent support for Lebanon, noting that “despite the siege and sanctions on Iran and the pressures on it, it has never abandoned or let down its allies and friends.” “The cut off hand of the martyr Qassem Soleimani on the land of Iraq is the biggest proof that Iran does not abandon its friends.”
“For 40 years, Iran has never interfered in Lebanon’s internal affairs, and our decision is in our own hands. We are not tools or slaves for anyone as others are to their masters,” Sayyed Nasrallah stressed.
His eminence addressed those who rely on Americans and their embassy in Beirut that they should take the Afghanistan experience into consideration. “Their police dogs are closer to them than you are,” Sayyed Nasrallah said, referring to the humiliating scene where the US servicemen withdrew from Afghanistan with their dogs, leaving behind hundreds of their Afghan friends who were seeking refuge from Taliban.
Describing Lebanon’s fuel crisis as ‘fabricated,’ Sayyed Nasrallah called on the state to intervene against monopolists and put them in prison. “The millions of liters of gasoline and diesel which the Lebanese army unveiled confirms that the crisis was created on purpose.” “If monopolists do not stop their inhumane ways, it will not be enough for security forces to seize their quantities,” his eminence said.
“Had the state intervened from the beginning of the crisis with a courageous decision as it did in the past days, we would not have witnessed the queues of humiliation.”
Lashing out at Washington and the US embassy in Lebanon, Sayyed Nasrallah said they were behind all this incitement for the Lebanese against each other. “The US embassy in Awkar is not a diplomatic mission, it is rather an embassy that’s conspiring against the Lebanese people. It’s running an economic and media war against Lebanon,” he indicated.
Referring to the formation of a new government, Sayyed Nasrallah said: “Like the rest of the Lebanese, we are looking forward with hope to the outcome of the meetings between the President and the PM-designate. We call for the formation of a government in Lebanon and we reject vacuum and any accusations against us of not exerting enough pressures on our allies and friends are meaningless.
The Secretary General began his speech with the ultimate cause of Palestine, hailing the persistence and firmness of Palestinian people against the Israeli occupation. He renewed the call for world peoples to support the right of the Palestinian people to restore their land from river to sea. “We are looking forward to the day when the Zionist invaders will withdraw from Palestine since this is the end to all occupiers and invaders.”
Sayyed Nasrallah also hailed the Iraqi resistance for expressing its readiness to protect the holy sites in Palestine. “Zionists fear the resistance of Iraq and any Iraqi role in a major war,” he said, adding that commodities and properties of this region should be exclusively for its people, far from all forms of American hegemony and looting.
“In Iraq, thanks to the blessed blood of the two martyred leaders, Haj Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis and Hajj Qassem Soleimani, it was decided that the American combat forces will leave the land of Iraq starting now until the end of the year,” His eminence pointed out.
Sayyed Nasrallah urged the strengthening of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization units, “they constitute a guarantee for Iraq in the face of any threat.”
After the US defeat in Afghanistan, eyes are drawn toward the US occupation in Iraq and Syria, he warned. “The US pretext to stay in Northern Syria to help fight ISIL, which is a flimsy and false claim. The US forces facilitate the increase of ISIL and help it move from one region to another,” the S.G. said.
In reference to Yemen and Bahraini crises, Sayyed Nasrallah called for an end to hegemony and oppression in both countries. “The hegemonic Saudi war in Yemen should be put to an end,” he said, reiterating support of the oppressed people of Bahrain, whose scholars are being imprisoned.
