The report added that 19133 PCR tests were conducted during the past 24 hours, adding that the number of cases of recovery from the coronavirus rose to 277741.

According to the report, 62 new coronavirus-related death cases were registered, which raised toll to 4508.

Lebanon has continued the anti-coronavirus vaccination campaign across all the provinces as the batches of Pfizer vaccines are scheduled to arrive in the country on a weekly basis. In this regard, the caretaker health minister, Dr. Hamad Hasan, called for vaccinating those who contract the coronavirus only three to six months after their recovery.

Moreover, on February 22, the country started the second phase of the four-phase plan to ease a total lockdown and reopen the economic sectors which took into effect on the eight of the same month.
