The Palestinian ex-prisoner, Maher Al-Akhras, who embraced martyrdom on Thursday thanked Al-Manar TV Channel for its continuous support to the Palestinian cause and resistance.
“Thanks for this channel which has been sacrificing for the sake of Palestine and for the sake of justice and freedom in this world,” Al-Akhras told Al-Manar from his home in the town of Silat Al-Daher in West Bank.
The freed prisoner said Hezbollah taught him not to negotiate rights with the Israeli enemy. “The Lebanese Resistance has taught us a lot. Once the Israeli occupation called for negotiations to withdraw from Lebanon, Sayyed Nasrallah told them that as they occupied Lebanon without negotiations, Israeli forces should withdraw without negotiations.”
“I have learned this from Sayyed Nasrallah: there should be no talks with this occupation,” Al-Akhras stated.
Al-Akhras was released earlier on Thursday, two weeks after he ended his 103-day hunger strike in protest against the Israeli administrative detention policy.
