Amal Movement politburo issued on Tuesday a statement in which it reiterated support to the French initiative, adding that nominating Mustafa Adib for premiership came in this context.
“Who confiscated the cabinet formation process and set conditions related to the rotation of portfolios and nomination of ministers frustrated the French initiative.”
Amal Movement considered rejected the accusations of the French President Emmanuel Macron against the National Duo (Hezbollah and Amal Movement) pertaining the failure of the cabinet formation, stressing that Speaker Nabih Berri has always supported the democratic process and the establishment of the civil state.
The statement described Macron’s speech as a political slip that hinders the progress and success of the French initiative.
