Beirut airport chief, Fadi al-Hassan, has denied media claims about a leakage at the facility, reassuring that there is no risk of explosion.
“What has been disseminated by media means about a leakage of fuel at the airport is untrue; there isn’t any leakage at the airport,” he told a news conference on Thursday.
“There is no looming explosion,” he stressed.
Al-Hassan indicated that the last time a leakage was reported at the reported was in March 2019, adding that the malfunction had been repaired two months later.
