Lebanese General Security arrested on Thursday two Syrian suspects over links with terrorist organizations, the G.S. directorate said in a statement.

M.Sh. and A’.Q. have confessed to the charges against them and said they – in association with others – received, transferred and converted amounts of money in favor of terrorist groups.

The statement added that the follow-up investigation showed that M.Sh. was involved in a terrorist act that rocked a foreign country.

The statement noted that they will be referred to the competent court when the investigation ends.

“Work is underway to arrest the rest of the involved people,” the statement concluded.
