Lebanese Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, underlined that the military will confront any attempt seeking to tamper with Lebanon’s civil peace, security, and coexistence, in his Order of the Day issued Wednesday upon the army’s 75th anniversary.
Addressing the military, General Aoun said: “Your institution has always constituted a point of convergence for all the Lebanese.”
He added: “The army stands at equal distances from everybody away from narrow considerations, and it protests the unique Lebanese formula that is based on coexistence.”
He continued: “The army will confront any attempt aiming to tamper with stability, civil peace, security and coexistence.”
Moreover, General Aoun pointed out that the Israeli enemy was still seeking to harm national unity among the Lebanese, and to take hold of Lebanon’s resources.
