The leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei called on the independent countries to stop the Saudi aggression on Yemen and alleviate the agonies of the Yemenis.
Upo receiving Slovenia’s President Borut Pahor in Tehran on Tuesday, Imam Khameni stressed that Iran has been working to smother the flames of conflicts in the Middle East.
His eminence also said that the so-called international coalition led by the United States formed allegedly to fight the ISIL terrorist group has not been successful, Press TV reported.
“Based on one standpoint, the Americans have no plan to uproot ISIL… and seek to act in such a way vis-à-vis ISIL that this problem would remain unresolved in Iraq or Syria.”
“Based on the second standpoint, the Americans are keen on the settlement of the issue of ISIL but the [existing] apparatuses are not such that they would be able to carry out such a task,” the Leader added.
