Last night was hard for Gaza, which witnessed large-scale Israeli raids, in a new aggression that killed at least three Palestinians and wounded several others.
Occupation military said Thursday morning its warplanes struck more than 140 targets in the besieged strip.
Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that three Palestinians were martyred in the attacks, including a pregnant woman, 23, her 16-month-old toddler and a man, who was identified as 30-year-old Ali Alrandur. Six other people were wounded in the raids.
The woman and her child were martyred in an Israeli airstrike that targeted Gaza’s center, the Health Ministry reported. The woman was identified as Ines Hamash. Her husband, according to a statement by the ministry, was wounded in the attack and is in moderate to serious condition.
The raids came after six rockets were fired from Gaza earlier on Wednesday, landing in Sderot and wounded 11 Israelis.
Haaretz newspaper reported that nine Israelis were evacuated to hospital; a woman is in serious condition, and 13 others were treated for shock trauma.
Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas claimed responsibility for the rocket attacks into the occupied lands, saying it was avenging the deaths of two fighters killed in an Israeli tank fire in Gaza on Tuesday.
“In response to Israel aggression, the Palestinian resistance has launched a large number of rockets in recent hours at the enemy,” Hamas said. “There was a promise [to respond] and now it has been fulfilled.”
The Palestinian resistance kept to launch rockets into occupied territories throughout the night in retaliation for the Israeli aggression. Israeli media reported that 150 rockets were fired at the occupied lands.
