Lebanese army announced on Wednesday its units were redeploying in the liberated area in Ras Baalbek and Qaa outskirts, ahead of starting the fourth stage of ‘Fajr Al-Joroud’ operation against ISIL Takfiri group.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the army said preparations were underway for the start of phase four of the operation.
“Army units began at dawn today, a re-stationing and redeployment process across the entire area cleared from Daesh terrorists during the past few days,” the statement said, referring to the Arabic acronym of ISIL.
“Field preparations are underway for the beginning of stage four of the ‘Fajr El-Jouroud’ operation while LAF engineering teams open new roads and search for mines, bombs and booby traps left behind” by ISIL terrorists, the statement added, according to the National News Agency (NNA).
The Army Command meanwhile stressed there will be no cease-fire against terrorist groups “until they are totally defeated.”
