Iran Declares Full Control Over Strategic Strait of Hormuz

Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters announced on Saturday night that the country’s Armed Forces are exercising full authority over the management of the Strait of Hormuz, warning that all vessels must comply with Iranian regulations or face “serious risks.”

In a statement, the military headquarters said that given the integrated management of the strategic waterway, all ships, commercial vessels, and oil tankers are required to navigate exclusively through designated routes and obtain prior authorization from the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy.

The statement emphasized that any vessel failing to comply with these regulations would face serious risks to the security of its passage.

Furthermore, the headquarters warned that any attempt by military vessels to interfere in the management of the Strait of Hormuz or disrupt maritime traffic would be met with a response from the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
