The Israeli enemy struck and destroyed a building in an industrial zone in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon early on Tuesday, causing injuries and severe damage to the area.
Al-Manar correspondent in Sidon reported that Israeli warplanes struck the three-story building, located in the industrial area among workshops, leading to its complete destruction and a number of injuries.
The industrial area is located in Sainiq region, an area to the south of Sidon and near Al-Ghazieh. A hospital is located near the targeted area, our correspondent reported, adding there were no injuries reported in the health facility.
“Ambulances and civil defense vehicles rushed to the scene and worked to transport the injured to the hospital,” Al-Manar correspondent in Sidon said.
The video below shows the heavy destruction in the area targeted by the Israeli strike.
Earlier on Monday, the Israeli enemy launched a series of strikes on several areas across southern Lebanon and Western Bekaa, some of them were preceded by so-called evacuation orders by the occupation army. The targeted areas included residential buildings in Anan in Jezzine, Al-Manara and Ain Al-Tineh in the Western Bekaa, as well as Kfar Hatta in the Sidon district.
The Israeli enemy continues to bomb Lebanon, mainly the country’s south, almost daily and maintains occupation over five posts along the southern border, in violation of a ceasefire deal reached following the 2024 Israeli war.
At least 340 people have been martyred by Israeli attacks since November 2024, according to toll released by Lebanon’s Health Ministry.
