Lebanese Health Ministry Denounces Attacks
Lebanese Health Ministry has condemned the Israeli targeting of first responders. In a statement, the ministry said: “The resumed its blatant defiance of international resolutions, its repudiation of commitments, and its continued disregard for international legitimacy.”
It cited a resolution from the World Health Organization’s General Assembly calling for the protection and neutrality of health personnel two days earlier.
The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health provided further details on the Israeli strikes, stating that an air raid on Deir Qanoun Al-Nahr in the Tyre district killed six people, including two paramedics from the Al-Risala Association—one of whom was also a journalist—as well as a Syrian girl. Six others were wounded, among them three Al-Risala paramedics and a Syrian woman.
In a separate earlier strike, an Israeli air raid on the town of Hanaway, also in the Tyre district, killed four paramedics from the Islamic Health Society and injured two others, including a paramedic and a woman.
