Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warned that the Islamic Republic would deliver a harsh and regret-inducing response to any act of aggression, reacting to recent rhetoric by his American counterpart.
In a post on his X account on Tuesday, Pezeshkian said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran’s response to any unjust aggression will be severe and regret-inducing.”

He was apparently reacting to the threat issued last night by US President Donald Trump about the possibility of military action against Iran.
In comments after holding talks with the Israeli prime minister in Florida on Monday, Trump threatened to “quickly eradicate” and “knock down” any attempts by Iran to rebuild its nuclear program.
“Now I hear that Iran is trying to build up again, and if they are, we’re going to have to knock them down,” Trump told reporters. “We’ll knock them down. We’ll knock the hell out of them. But, hopefully, that’s not happening.”
US President Donald Trump said that if Iran continued to develop its nuclear weapons program then he would support an Israeli attack on Iran “immediately”.

On June 13, the Zionist regime launched an unprovoked war of aggression against Iran, targeting military, nuclear, and residential areas for 12 consecutive days. The United States later escalated the conflict by striking three of Iran’s nuclear sites in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan on June 22.
Iran’s Armed Forces delivered an immediate and forceful response. The IRGC Aerospace Force carried out 22 waves of retaliatory missile strikes under Operation True Promise III, inflicting significant damage and heavy losses on cities across the occupied territories.
