Member of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to Resistance parliamentary bloc MP Hasan Fadlallah warned anti-resistance powers in Lebanon against mounting pressure against Hezbollah’s popular base.
In an interview with Al-Manar on Thursday, he stressed that “prolonged pressure on people ignites wrath that spares nothing.”
“Whoever asks what the resistance has offered to Lebanon, the answer is: Pride and dignity. The country has enjoyed pride and dignity over the past forty years thanks to the resistance.”
“Hezbollah’s primary concern is to find all possible ways to protect people’s lives, preserve the country’s sovereignty, complete reconstruction,” MP Fadlallah said adding that the resistance party “works according to the available circumstances and capabilities to achieve these goals.”

He stressed that Hezbollah “is the party of the people,” pointing to the war imposed on Hezbollah’s popular base.
“Such war takes many forms, from pressure on livelihood and money to media disinformation,” the Hezbollah lawmaker said, affirming that the people of resistance “are stronger than this rhetoric and the pressures imposed upon them.”
In this regard, MP Fadlallah reiterated Hezbollah’s adherence to all commitments made previously regarding reconstruction, noting that all required procedures and decisions have been completed.
“The only remaining obstacle is the issue of funding,” he said, pointing out that there are “Lebanese hands” that intersect with the Israeli hand in attempts to prevent reconstruction.

On the domestic level, MP Fadlallah said that there are some local powers that don’t dare to hold a popular referendum or implement an election law outside the sectarian framework.
Such move “would reveal their true size in the country,” he added.
Meanwhile, MP Fadlallah stressed that “Hezbollah, at the height of its power, did not utilize this strength domestically, and some parties, including our allies, criticized us for this choice.”
In this context, the lawmaker affirmed that Hezbollah has been and will remain keen to preserve Lebanon’s national interests.
He also warned officials and powers who are facilitating the anti-resistance schemes and taking part in the pressure against the resistance’s popular base.
“The wrath of the people should not be underestimated; when prolonged pressure ignites such wrath, it spares nothing.”
