Israeli Aggression on Southern Lebanon Targets Civilian Homes and Residents

Israeli warplanes carried out a series of violent airstrikes across southern Lebanon on Day, leaving a trail of destruction in multiple villages and prompting mass evacuations near the coastal city of Sidon.

Al-Manar’s correspondent in southern Lebanon reported that warplanes targeted the towns of Qounine, Shaqra, Yater, Deir Siryan, Qabrikha, and Beit Leef in successive raids this morning.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli occupation army launched strikes on the town of Shahabiya in the Tyre district. The bombardment caused widespread devastation at the targeted site and severely damaged dozens of surrounding homes and businesses. Field footage showed extensively damaged residential buildings and shops with shattered facades, their contents strewn across the rubble. Engineering teams are currently working to clear debris and reopen roads in the town.

In a further act of aggression against Lebanese sovereignty, a spokesperson for the enemy army issued a warning of an imminent bombing targeting three buildings on the outskirts of Sidon, in the Al-Fawwar neighborhood. The statement urged residents to evacuate immediately and stay away from the area.

Our correspondent confirmed that the threatened buildings and surrounding structures were successfully evacuated, and roads leading to the site were closed to ensure civilian safety. Meanwhile, a number of journalists positioned themselves at a safe distance from the buildings to document the enemy aircraft bombing them.
