PM Salam Vows Imminent Infrastructure Rehabilitation in 2nd Day of South Lebanon Tour

Early Sunday Prime Minister Nawaf Salam arrived in Kfarkila border village, icon of resistance and steadfastness as well as the Israeli enemy’s barbarism, starting the second day of his tour in South Lebanon.

My visit aims at confirming that the state, with all its agencies, stands by the afflicted villages, Salam said, addressing crowds of locals who gathered to welcome him.

Salam added that “the process of rehabilitating roads (39 kilometers) and installing 13 telecommunication networks will begin in the coming weeks.”

In turn, MP Ali Hasan Khalil told PM Salam that the Israeli occupation forces stationed in Hamames hill attack the civilians in the area everyday, adding that this is a main challenge for the government.

On Saturday, Salam started his South Lebanon tour which included the villages of Rmeish, Bint Jbeil district and Aita al-Shaab, in addition to the city of Tyre, which was the launching position.

PM Salam also visited Marjeyoun where he noted that the Lebanese state had abandoned the South for a long time.
