The Official for Christian Relations in Hezbollah, Hajj Mohammad Al-Khansa, stated: “We strongly condemn the terrorist crime that targeted Jordanian citizens during a funeral procession inside St. George’s Church in Jordan’s Karak Governorate, which resulted in a number of casualties and injuries.”
In a statement issued on Friday, Al-Khansa emphasized that “this heinous terrorist crime against humanity, the violation of the sanctity of houses of worship, and the shedding of the blood of the safe and secure, comes within the framework of a series of terrorism that has wreaked death and destruction in our region over years, seeking to sow sectarian discord among its people and undermine the foundations of religious and cultural diversity that characterize our region.”
Al-Khansa added: “As we condemn this criminal assault, we extend our deepest condolences and sympathy to the brotherly Jordanian people and the families of the victims, asking Almighty God to envelop the victims in His vast mercy and grant the injured a speedy recovery.”
