Gaza’s Ministry of Health announced on October 18 that thStrip’s hospitals received seven martyrs and 25 injured Palestinians within the past 24 hours.

One of the martyrs was a Palestinian girl, Misk al-Dallu, who was martyred on Sunday after Israeli occupation forces opened fire on tents sheltering displaced families in Maghazi Camp in central Gaza, as attacks continued across the besieged Strip.

Gunfire, artillery shelling, and attacks by military vehicles and naval vessels were reported in northern, central, and southern Gaza, further endangering civilians already facing severe humanitarian hardship.

Northern Gaza: Gunfire and explosions in Gaza City

In Gaza City, Israeli occupation forces fired on Palestinian homes and tents housing displaced people east of the al-Tuffah and al-Shujaiyah neighborhoods. The attacks coincided with artillery shelling.

Al-Shujaiyah also witnessed the explosion of a container that had been dropped by an Israeli drone.

Local media in Gaza reported that Israeli occupation forces have been setting up explosive boxes among the rubble of homes along Mushtaha Al-Faisal Street, the road that divides Shujaiyah to the south from Al-Tuffah to the north, on the edge of the Yellow Line in the eastern part of Gaza City.

Residents of the area report that the ground shakes because of the amount of explosives being detonated. Artillery fire additionally targeted areas in northern Gaza, extending the attacks across the northern part of the Strip.

Central Gaza: Palestinian seriously wounded

In central Gaza, a Palestinian sustained serious injuries after being shot by the occupation forces east of al-Masdar village.

Meanwhile, areas east of Bureij Camp came under artillery shelling and intense gunfire from Israeli tanks, adding to the continuing danger facing residents and displaced families in the area.
