Israeli Attacks Continue Unabated across Southern Lebanon

Smoke rises after an Israeli explosion in southern Lebanese town of Mais Al-Jabal (August 22, 2026).

Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of attacks across southern Lebanon on Thursday, targeting several towns and areas with artillery fire, airstrikes, and demolition operations, according to Al-Manar correspondents in southern Lebanon.

Israeli artillery shelling targeted Bar’ashit, Mais Al-Jabal, Beit Lif, Khiam, Al-Mansouri, Kfar Tibnit, Nabatieh Al-Fawqa, Haris and Wadi Al-Slouqi, according to our reporters.

Israeli warplanes, meanwhile, carried out airstrikes on Bani Hayyan, the outskirts of Maifadoun, and Al-Mansouri.

An airstrike was also reported in Zawtar Al-Sharqiya, targeting the town’s Scout Complex, according to Al-Manar reporter.

Occupation forces also carried out demolition operations in Khiam, Mais Al-Jabal, and Majdal Zoun, according to Al-Manar correspondents.

Later on Thursday, our correspondent reported a number of extensive demolitions in Al-Mansouri, in Tyre district.

The attacks form part of the ongoing pattern of Israeli aggression across southern Lebanon, where Israeli occupation forces have continued to carry out airstrikes, artillery shelling, demolitions, and other operations on daily basis, despite the cessation-of-hostilities agreement.

Since March 2, 2026, Israeli attacks have killed at least 4,386 people, injured 12,407 and displaced more than 1 million others, according to Lebanese Health Ministry.

In addition to civilian casualties, the repeated attacks have displaced citizens and destroyed the Lebanese infrastructure in border towns, maintaining a state of heightened tension across the region.
