Member of the Loyalty to the Resistance Block, MP Hasan Fadlallah, emphasized that the main battle today is liberating the land, protecting the people, returning to the southern villages and towns, and rebuilding them. He stressed that Hezbollah and the Amal Movement have not closed the doors to a political solution, but they reject submission and surrender.
Speaking during a memorial ceremony held in Beirut’s Dahieh, Fadlallah stated that the resistance supports diplomacy based on rights and indirect negotiations if it leads to the liberation of the South, the withdrawal of the occupation, and the return of the residents. He considered that any agreement linking the Israeli withdrawal to the disarmament of the resistance perpetuates the continuation of the occupation.
He pointed out that the resistance arose as a result of the occupation, affirming that it remains in a defensive position, and that steadfastness, resistance, and local and regional dynamics are what will lead to the liberation of the South.
Fadlallah also criticized the government’s performance, stating that the continued presence of Hezbollah and the Amal Movement within it is tied to “national and political necessities” rather than an endorsement of its policies. He called for an end to what he described as incitement against the resistance and its community, urging a move away from disinformation and division, while confirming that its resistance is “as firmly rooted as our existence in our country.”
