Member of Loyalty to Resistance Bloc, Dr. Hussein Hajj Hasan, underlined steadfastness, patience and popular support as elements of Resistance power in addition to the religious faith.
MP Hajj Hasan’s made his remarks while addressing a memorial ceremony which was held at the Imam Al-Baqir (AS) Complex in the Al-Za’areer – Beit Mishik area, marking forty days since the martyrdom of the mujahid martyr Mohammad Mahdi Jaafar Mishik, and the ninth anniversary of the martyrdom of his father, the mujahid martyr Jaafar Mishik, in the presence of a gathering of dignitaries, clerics, and local residents.
Hajj Hassan said: “Our enemies and adversaries are deluded into thinking they can defeat us and push us into surrender, while they obsess over our weapons because they believe we are weak.”
He added: “You will not be able to disarm us, and these weapons will not belong to anyone else.”
He stressed that what is required of the Lebanese authority is to secure a full Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory “without any conditions”, criticizing what he described as a partial withdrawal that took place in the town of Zoutar, considering that the town “was liberated to begin with.”
He noted that the Israeli enemy’s Prime Minister announced that Israel “will not withdraw easily from any area”, asking about the reality of the areas being talked about for withdrawal, and about how that relates to upcoming negotiations. He said: “We do not know whether any alleged Israeli withdrawal will include a town that was already liberated, as happened in Zoutar, or perhaps it will be Baalbek.”
Hajj Hasan also addressed reliance on the American role, asking how that would translate after the meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and the head of the enemy government Benjamin Netanyahu, and about the anticipated Israeli position in the Rome negotiations at the beginning of next month.
