Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei responded to the letter sent by the valiant fighters of Hezbollah, hailing their sacrifices and steadfastness in face of the Israeli war on Lebanon.
In His letter, Sayyed Khamenei affirmed that defending Hezbollah is a strategic policy with respect to Iran, recalling enlisting the stoppage of the Israeli war on Lebanon in the MoU with the United States.
What follows is the full text of Sayyed Khamenei’s letter to the pledge of allegiance sent by the faithful and courageous fighters of Hezbollah in proud Lebanon:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful “O you who have believed, fight those disbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you firmness.” (At-Tawbah: 123)
To His Eminence Hujjat Al-Islam Wal-Muslimeen Sheikh Naim Qassem (may his honor endure), the respected Secretary-General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, and to all Hezbollah’s leaders and fighters who sacrifice their lives with patience and steadfastness in resistance: Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you all.
– My brothers and sons, your letter—written by the faithful and courageous fighters of the proud Hezbollah—bearing the meanings of steadfastness and perseverance in raising the Word of Allah, faith in the promise of the Noble Qur’an, the noble objectives that bequeath honor, and commitment to the path of Imam Khomeini and the martyred Leader, Grand Ayatollah Khamenei (may Allah be pleased with them both), is deeply appreciated and held in the highest esteem.
Today, as the peoples of the world have grown weary of the oppression and injustice of the U.S. administration and the crimes of the Zionists, who spread corruption across the land and destroy crops and lives, there remains no path for the free except jihad and resistance. Steadfastness on this path is sufficient to grant the Mujahideen fighting for the truth the promised Divine victory: “And it was incumbent upon Us to grant victory to the believers.” (Ar-Rum: 47)
Today, Hezbollah in Lebanon, as the vanguard of the resistance factions, stands as a solid rock against the brutal aggression of the Zionist entity and its supporters. This steadfastness has become an inspiring message to the free peoples of the world in their journey toward liberation from the oppression of global arrogance and its followers. Undoubtedly, a great part of this remarkable achievement is owed to the patience, nobility, sacrifices, and unity of the Lebanese people, especially the people of the South.
The Islamic Republic of Iran, in accordance with the path laid down by the great Leader and Martyr of the Revolution, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei (may Allah be pleased with him), has made the defense of these oppressed yet capable fighters a permanent strategic policy. It has also made the preservation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and the complete, unconditional end of the Zionist entity’s aggression the foremost condition in the Memorandum of Understanding to end the war imposed by the aggressor United States.
May the prayers and mercy of Almighty Allah be upon the martyrs and the wounded, their steadfast families, and those who emigrated for the sake of Allah, making the hardship of trials easier upon themselves.
Peace be upon the heavenly soul of the Master of Hezbollah’s Martyrs, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, upon all the former leaders of the resistance, and upon his fellow martyrs (may Allah bless them all), who transformed the seedling of the Islamic Resistance into a towering tree: “Its root is firmly fixed and its branches reach the sky.” Those Mujahideen, through their jihad and resistance, bestowed honor and dignity upon Lebanon throughout the Islamic world.
In conclusion, I ask Almighty Allah, through the blessings of the prayers of our Master (may Allah hasten his noble reappearance), to encompass all the fighters of the Resistance, its martyrs, wounded, emigrants, and their steadfast families with His abundant care and grace. “And We desired to show favor to those who were oppressed in the land and to make them leaders and make them the inheritors.” (Al-Qasas: 5)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
All praise is due to Allah, the One who grants honor to the believers and humiliates the oppressors, who has made our lives a path of jihad and preparation, and our deaths martyrdom in His cause at the hands of the worst of His creation. Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad, and his pure and noble Household. May Allah hasten their blessed reappearance while granting us goodness and well-being.
Allah the Almighty says: “O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you…” (An-Nisa: 59)
Our Master, the Leader and Guardian Jurist, Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei, peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
We, your sons and brothers—the Khameneists of Hezbollah, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon—send you this letter with hearts filled with hope and prayers that you remain in the best of health, safeguarded by Allah’s mighty protection.
First, we congratulate you on the martyrdom of our father, the martyred Guardian Leader, who concluded decades of jihad and leadership, combining knowledge with action, opening the doors of giving as a distinguished jurist, Qur’anic thinker, and steadfast leader, until he was martyred like his grandfather, Imam Ali, at the hands of the “Ibn Muljams” of this era. We also extend our congratulations on the martyrdom, sacrifices, and wounds of your brothers, sisters, sons, and daughters among the fighters of this nation on the resistance front, especially the people of your beloved country, the Islamic Republic of Iran. We ask Allah to envelop the martyrs in His mercy,u grant the wounded a swift recovery, and bestow patience and solace upon their families.
We, who have long made pilgrimages to the holy city of Mashhad and drawn from the pure spring of the compassionate Imam Al-Ridha (peace be upon him), raise the banner of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) with the hand of jihad and preparation while confronting our enemies at point-blank range in the spirit of “Labbayk [At your Service] ” and “Hayhat” [Be Away from us Humiliation].” With our other hand, we greet our dear brothers—the sons of Imam Al-Ridha (peace be upon him), the graduates of Imam Khomeini’s school, the bearers of Imam Khamenei’s legacy, and those who raise your blessed banner among the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Basij, and every honorable and noble individual who breathes the fragrance of guardianship in the Islamic Republic of Iran. In them, we see the love and sacrifice of Imam Hussein, the insight and selflessness of Abbas, and the certainty and loyalty of Salman.
Today, you carry the banner of authentic Muhammadan Islam, which the martyred Guardian Leader carried after the great Imam Khomeini. It is the same banner that Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) raised in Karbala when he stood alone before the enemy’s armies and declared: “By Allah, I will never surrender like the humiliated…”
Our Leader, from the heart of the battlefield where we wage our Karbala-like struggle against the tyrants of the earth, we extend to you our pledge of allegiance with full determination, convinced that in doing so we are pledging allegiance to Imam Al-Hujjah (may Allah hasten his reappearance), for you are his rightful deputy and Allah’s proof upon us during the Major Occultation.
We pledge to continue steadfastly on the path of dignity, preparing and persevering. Just as we stood beside the martyred Guardian Leader, we shall stand beside you, fearing no reproach for the sake of Allah. Upon our shoulders rests the trust of the martyrs, the wounded, the prisoners, the missing, and their steadfast families, while in our hearts lives the legacy of the martyred Khamenei—strength and trust in Allah.
Under your leadership, Allah willing, we shall advance on the battlefield carrying the banner of Islam, guided by the Qur’an and the Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), with Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance) as our guiding light, and inspired by the martyrs who preceded us on this path. We shall never feel alone on the path of guidance while accompanied by the caravans of martyrs, the wounded, mothers, fathers, wives, and all the sons and daughters of the Nation of Resistance and the Front of Jihad. We proceed under the leadership of our Secretary-General, His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem (may Allah protect him), with firm hope in Allah’s promise that the righteous shall inherit the earth and His religion shall prevail under the leadership of the Victorious One from the Household of Muhammad (peace be upon them). Until that promise is fulfilled, you will find from us nothing but obedience, the will for victory, and the love of martyrdom. “And victory is not except from Allah, the Almighty, the All-Wise.”
And our final prayer is: All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
