Israeli occupation forces advanced into the village of Eastern Al-Samdaniyah in the northern countryside of Quneitra on Sunday, while also shelling areas near the town of Al-Hamidiyah, Syria’s state news agency SANA reported.
According to SANA’s correspondent, an Israeli force comprising five military vehicles entered the village, set up a temporary checkpoint, and carried out searches of civilians passing through the area.
The agency added that Israeli forces positioned near Al-Hamidiyah fired three mortar rounds and one smoke shell toward areas between the town and the city of Al-Salam in northern Quneitra. No casualties were reported.

The developments come a day after a similar incursion on Saturday evening near the Kudna Dam in the central Quneitra countryside, where six Israeli military vehicles entered the area amid intensive drone activity before later withdrawing.
The incident comes amid continued and repeated Israeli violations of Syrian sovereignty.
For months, southern Syria has witnessed recurring Israeli incursions and attacks, including raids, searches, arrests and the establishment of military checkpoints.
The activities intensified following the fall of Bashar Al-Assad’s regime in December 2024, after the Israeli regime declared the collapse of the 1974 disengagement agreement and seized control of the Syrian buffer zone.
