Iran’s Foreign Minister Sayyed Abbas Araqchi strongly condemned US President Donald Trump’s insulting remarks at the NATO Summit in Ankara, stressing that Tehran does not answer vulgarity with vulgarity, but with action.
“Addressing the Civilized and Courageous Nation of Iran with derogatory language does not diminish its Greatness,” Araqchi wrote on X on Wednesday, saying that Iranians are renowned for their “civility” and “strong moral values”.
His statement came after US President Donald Trump stated early Wednesday that Washington will “probably” hit Iran again on Wednesday night, following overnight US attacks on the Southern cities. The American leader also called Iranians “scum” and “sick people” and declared the ceasefire accord “over”.
“We do not answer vulgarity with vulgarity, but with action: fearlessly and with great valor,” the Iranian foreign minister added.
