Yemen’s revolutionary forces downed late on Friday a fighter jet of the Saudi-led coalition in the northwestern province of Al-Jawf.
Spokesman of Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier General Yahya Saree said: “The air defense forces managed to down a Tornado warplane over the sky of the Al-Jawf Governorate as it was carrying out a hostile mission.”
“The Yemeni airspace is not for picnic,” Saree warned.
Hundreds of thousands of Yemenis have been killed or injured since the start of the Saudi aggression on the Arab impoverished country in March 2015.
The coalition, which includes in addition to Saudi Arabia and UAE: Bahrain, Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Sudan and Kuwait, has been also imposing a harsh blockade against Yemenis.
