Police forces have apprehended two fugitive terrorists in Iran’s northern province of Golestan.
Spokesman of the Iranian police Saeed Montazerolmahdi said on Saturday that the arrestees intended to sabotage and take terrorist acts in the country.
The team comprising a man and a woman had been arrested by the police before committing any crimes, he said.
A haul of explosive devices was seized from the terrorists, he noted, adding that the two terrorists were handed over to the legal authorities.
In a related development yesterday, two terrorists were arrested by the Iranian police for involvement in a December attack against a police station in Rask, southeast Iran.
