Al-Qaeda Emir Killed in Sanaa

Well informed security source said that al-Qaeda Emir was killed by the security guards of army Brigadier Fouad al-Emad.

Imad Ahmad Mohammad Shash was killed along with other militants as they attacked the house of Brigadier Emad, the sources said.

Al-Qaeda's Emir of Sanaa Imad Ahmad Mohammad Shash Shash was the so-called “Al-Qaeda’s Emir of Sanaa”, the sources said, adding that he was involved in several terrorists attacks that rocked the capital in the latest months.

Shash is also known with other names: “Nibras al-Sanaani, Shaker, al-Dob (bear) and Sami,” the sources said, citing the confessions of several terrorists arrested by the Yemeni security apparatus.

The killing of Shash is considered a security achievement since he is one of the most dangerous al-Qaeda commanders.
