"We urge the detaining authorities to transfer all six detainees without delay to a suitable hospital so that their condition can be continuously monitored," Juan Pedro Schaerer, the head of the ICRC's delegation in the occupied territories, said on Tuesday.

He called on the Zionist government of occupation to allow family visits for the hunger strikers.

The Red Cross also said in a statement that the detainees are in imminent danger of death.

On April 17, hundreds of Palestinian prisoners began the hunger strike to protest against imprisonment without charge and solitary confinement exercised by the Zionist regime.

There have been several demonstrations across the occupied West Bank and the Gaza Strip to express solidarity with the prisoners.

According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics and prisoner advocacy groups, there are currently thousands of Palestinian prisoners in the Zionist jails, many of whom have been rounded up without charge or trial.
