During an interview with the Lebanese local daily Al-Nahar published Monday, Caldas claimed that there is more firm evidence than the communications.

“Some people believe we will not be able to go to trial unless we stop these four persons ... In fact, even if we do not stop the four most wanted, justice will be achieved and will put an end to the culture of assassination and impunity."

"Between 2004 and 2008, 21 assassination operations or attempts had been carried out, and our mission is to know whether they are coherent or incoherent,” Caldas said.

"There is more than the communication evidence. There are firm evidences which go back to court to disclose. There are also witnesses. They are here, but I will not disclose anything about them,” he stressed.

Caldas added however that “there is evidence of communication, and there are other structured, valuable and proved evidences. Some are circumstantial, and some are concrete, but we have to go to court and announce them all."

"The accused persons should defend themselves before the accusations targeting them," the chairman of international investigators concluded.
