AgreementYemen's Ansarullah movement and former President Ali Abdullah Saleh's party, on Thursday declared the formation of a presidential council to run the country, in a joint statement reported by Saba news agency.

"Due to the arrogance of Saudi aggression and its allies, their continuing killing of our people and destruction of public and private property on the daily basis before the eyes of the international community and the United Nations in particular," they said.

"We decide to form a supreme political council from the General People's Congress (Saleh's party) and Ansarullah (Houthi group) to run the country in all its affairs of politics, economy, military and security, to confront the Saudi aggression, and map out public policy of Yemen in accordance with the constitution," they added.

Yemen has been since March 26, 2015 under brutal aggression by Saudi-led coalition.

Thousands have been martyred and injured in the attack, with the vast majority of them are civilians.

Riyadh launched the attack on Yemen in a bid to restore power to fugitive ex-president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi who is a close ally to Saudi Arabia.
