HezbollahHezbollah condemned the heinous, terrorist massacre committed by ISIL takfiri gangs at Karrada market in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, which claimed hundreds of martyrs and wounded.

In a statement, Hezbollah considered that the atrocious crime which targeted worshippers at late Holy Month of Ramadan's nights and on the eve of Fitr Eid reflects how much those criminals despise the values of right and benevolence and reveals their involvement in devastating the structure of the Islamic and Arab societies and wiping out their heritage and principles.

This crime, which targeted crowded market and praying center where the Name of Holy God and that of His Prophet are rehearsed, must drive all the free and honest across the world to fight the takfiri terrorism, according to the statement.

Some regional countries support the takfiri terrorists and stir seditions among people in the context of serving the interests of their Western masters, the statement added.

Hezbollah pointed out that the crime comes while ISIL is suffering successive defeats at the hands of the Iraqi fighters on various fronts, which proves that the terrorist group avenges its inability and field retreat by targeting the innocent civilians.

This conduct shows how much the terrorists, including the planners and the executors,  are morally degenerated, the party added.

Hezbollah finally offered deep condolences to the Iraqi people, religious reference, leaders and government, hoping that Holy God grant the martyrs His mercy and the wounded a speedy recovery.

Hundreds of people were killed or injured in two bombings that hit a shopping area and a popular market in Baghdad in the early hours of Sunday as they celebrated Ramadan.
