Yemeni Army: US Wants to Spread Chaos in Yemen by Sending ISIL Mercenaries
Local Editor

The Yemeni army said on Wednesday that the United States is trying to spread chaos in the war-torn country.

Talking to Yemeni TV, al-Massirah, Yemeni army spokesman Sharaf Luqman said that dispatching ISIL mercenaries from Syria to Yemen indicates that Washington wants for this war to stay for a long time.

The aim of sending those Takfiri mercenaries is to spread chaos in Yemen, and this is the goal of the US intelligence, Luqman said on Wednesday.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Syrian army said that 500 ISIL terrorists were moved from Syria to Yemen. Intelligence reports in Syria said that on October 16th, four planes arrived in Aden Airport in Yemen, carrying terrorists from ISIL Takfiri group.

The Saudi-led coalition officers divided them into three groups, the Syrian army said.

“One (group) went to Bab-el-Mandeb strait, one to Ma’rib, and one to the Saudi regions of Jizan and Asir in order to join the alliance’s forces which had sustained great losses during their battles there,” SANA news agency quoted Syrian intelligence reports as saying.

Yemen has been since March 26 under brutal aggression by Saudi-led coalition. Thousands have been martyred and injured in the attack, with the vast majority of them are civilians.

Riyadh launched the attack on Yemen in a bid to restore power to fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi who is a close ally to Saudi Arabia.

However, Yemeni army, backed by the committees has been responding to the aggression by targeting several Saudi border military posts and cleansing several areas across the country, especially the country’s south, from Hadi and al-Qaeda-linked militias.
