Palestinians across Palestine are to take part in a general strike on Nakba (Catastrophe) Day on Tuesday, as the death toll of mass protests along the Gaza border reached 59.
Palestinians in both Gaza and West Bank are to participate in Nakba Day protests, the day which marks the creation of the Zionist occupation in 1948.
Meanwhile, an 8-month-old Gazan baby was martyred early on Tuesday, Health ministry in Gaza said.
The baby became the 59th victim of bloody clashes with the Zionist occupation forces in Gaza to 59.
In addition to those martyred, nearly 3,000 Palestinians were wounded during the Monday’s protests, which are set to continue on Tuesday in commemoration of Nakba Day.
Several states raised increasing alarm over the huge number of martyrs along the Gaza border.
The United Kingdom, France, the EU, Egypt and the United Nations rights chief were among those calling on the Zionist entity to ‘take greater care to prevent the deaths’ of protesters.
