Russia summoned Israeli Ambassador to Moscow to inquire about airstrikes on Syrian troops near Palmyra.
Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said Monday that Moscow has summoned ambassador Gary Koren to inquire about Tel Aviv’s airstrikes on Syrian troops near Palmyra.
“Yes, we asked him about this,” Bogdanov told journalists.
Both Syria and the Zionist entity confirmed that Israeli warplanes had carried air strikes near Palmyra. The Syrian Army command said in a statement Friday it had downed one of four Israeli Air Force jets that violated its airspace and purportedly targeted Syrian units near Palmyra.
